Bed Occupancy sensor

Description:
Bed Occupancy Sensor, an advanced telecare device, is designed to manage the risks associated with falls and nocturnal disorientation in older and disabled people. The sensor is placed underneath the mattress and is linked to the call centre via our personal alarm. The device raises an alert automatically to the call centre if a client:
- Gets out of bed and does not return in a pre-set time;
- Does not go to bed by pre-set time;
- Does not get out of bed by pre-set time.
Upon detection of an alarm, trained operators from our designated call centre will try to speak to the occupant through the loudspeaker on the personal alarm. The call centre will follow a set of personalised protocols and arrange most appropriate support depending on the situation.
Apart from managing the risks associated with falls the data recorded by the call centre can help families and health care workers identify potential disturbed sleep patterns and bladder control problems.
Note: Our installation currently covers London, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire and parts of neighboring authorities. However, our Ready-to-Plug-in postal delivery service is provided across the UK. Click here to check whether your postcode is covered by our installation service. There have been occasions where we've installed personal alarms, key safes and telecare systems in areas that are not within our covered postcode areas. These have been done at the request of social care teams, occupational therapists and families to facilitate an early discharge. So please do still call us if your area is not covered by our current installation service. We always go the extra mile to satisfy our clients.
