Smoke Detector

Description:
This smoke detector is referred to by some as disabled or elderly smoke detector. It functions like traditional smoke detectors. However, it provides greater reassurance and protection by linking the home environment to the call centre. It is wireless and communicates with the call centre through your personal alarm. Upon detection of a fire, the smoke detector automatically sends a signal to the personal alarm which then alerts the call centre. The call centre will attempt to speak to the resident first. However, to ensure our clients' safety, operators have to contact the fire brigade within 60 seconds of receiving the alert. False alerts will be cancelled by the call centre.
This smoke detector, though it can function on its own, requires a personal alarm if the home environment needs to be monitored by the call centre. Therefore, If you would like to purchase it you need to also order a personal alarm.
Note: Our installation currently covers London, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire and parts of neighboring authorities. However, our Ready-to-Plug-in postal delivery service is provided across the UK. Click here to check whether your postcode is covered by our installation service. There have been occasions where we've installed personal alarms, key safes and telecare systems in areas that are not within our covered postcode areas. These have been done at the request of social care teams, occupational therapists and families to facilitate an early discharge. So please do still call us if your area is not covered by our current installation service. We always go the extra mile to satisfy our clients.
